I find that when I am judging others and being critical it comes from a place of deep dislike of myself. If I can be more forgiving and loving to myself then I stop judging and critiquing others.
Why does this happen? How can I help stop this?. The answer: Time and gratitude.
Gratitude helps me to get out of a negative spiral, to be grateful, to look at all the things I am blessed with and show thanks for all I have as apposed to focusing on all the things I don’t have.
Time...to give back to myself, time to be, time to connect.
Having a massage I find helps me to show such gratitude to my body, for doing what it does for us everyday without question. Day in day out. This space also gives me the time listen to what it is telling me.
I am immensely grateful when a client can see the importance in such self care by allowing themselves this extra time in a treatment to reconnect with themselves. This enables me the time to attune and truly listen to their bodies feedback, which naturally creates a therapeutic, peaceful place of healing.
I feel immensely lucky to have found a profession in which I can give back the gift of self love to those who truly need it most. I am at my most happiest when I hear my clients bodies sighing with relief or pleasure, making strange gurgling noises and even snoring during a treatment as these are the true signs of being and feeling blissed out. It is when i feel, hear and see such bodily expression that I know I have done a good job. Thank You.
With much love
